Starts off way better than the original mostly due to manuals being such a perfect addition to the formula, but everything else is just too janky. Obstacle hitboxes are usually really bad (especially in the last area), unclear ramp timing and grind-switching randomly flinging you into obstacles make everything so inconsistent, all getting compounded by the new fliptricks making every input a toss-up between like 3 tricks of vastly differing lengths. You'd think with all the new mechanical depth the levels would get way more interesting but I guess in service of the movie theme they're all completely linear or maybe have one extra path for a challenge which is SO LAME compared to the original's style!!! they constantly reuse the rollercoaster and speedcheck grind setpieces too and theyre not even good setpieces... not a fan of vectorising all the graphics either... maybe olliolli world fixes all this but it's never on sale
